Going Green:
City Center Las Vegas is committed to “going green.” Each of the 6 City Center Las Vegas buildings is being consciously designed and built with environmental sustainability in mind. The goal of these designs is to achieve the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED, (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design,) certification. This will be the first “green housing” in Las Vegas of its kind. Each of the City Center Las Vegas resort and luxury condo buildings is being strictly designed to conserve energy and resources as well as greatly reduce pollution during construction. City Center Las Vegas has also been extremely committed to conserving water and recycling material and resources. In fact, when the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino, (the structure previously sitting on the City Center Las Vegas plot of land,) was demolished, 90% of the old materials, such as brick, mortar, and glass, were reused in someway. The paints, sealants, adhesives, carpet and composite wood product used to build and enhance City Center Las Vegas do not contain toxic substances, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), and therefore do not emit gasses. Along with their green building efforts, City Center Las Vegas will instill a massive recycling campaign throughout its buildings with the use of four designated recycling areas. Another green building feature of CityCenter Las Vegas will be the use of a highly efficient drip irrigation system with moisture controls that will ensure it's drought tolerant landscaping is watered only as much as needed as well as low water usage bathroom features throughout the property. City Center also provides preferred parking for carpools and alternative fuel vehicles to encourage alternative transportation methods. All this conservation makes these new condos some of the best green housing in Las Vegas and a hot commodity.
The residences at City Center:
Along with the concept of “going green,” these Las Vegas condos have integrated many new ideas sure to please buyers. The residences at City Center include six towers each designed by different architects and each offering a diverse environment for City Center Las Vegas clientele. This 57 story, crescent-shaped, building designed by New York RV architecture, LLC will continue with green housing in Las Vegas theme set by City Center.
